David Cox Road Elementary School received a visit from music legends Skip Martin, Thea Austin, Robin S, Deniece Williams, Janice Robinson and David L. Cook. Their visit preceded the Artists Music Guild, Inc.’s Heritage Awards at Dale F. Halton Theater on Saturday, October 26, 2024, where the David Cox students performed. The AMG Heritage Awards help raise money for music and arts in schools. During the visit, students performed for their guests and sang along to some of their top hits, as well the musicians passed out school supplies and spent time preparing the students for their stage performance this weekend.
